It is not official yet, but I learned that you can download and build the facelets and seam support projects for Netbeans while reading today's Netbeans newsletter. I will give a thumbs up in the affirmative as I have followed the directions within the blog and successfully achieved Facelets and Seam support within 6.1!
Thanks for the excellent blog and for the time which was put forth in working on these projects!
Hi Josh,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see someone following netbeans 6.1 and seam support!
I downloaded and built the facelets and seam modules as per instructions here:
http://davidsalter.co.uk/index.php?q=node/104
I can create a seam project OK but I get a NullPointerException when I try to generate entities.
Just wondering what your experience has been thus far?
Thanks,
Joe
NullPointer Exception generating entities with NB 6.1 on SNV93
ReplyDeleteSame issue.
Plugins installed OK for NB 6.1 on Solaris Nevada b94.
Jboss 4.2.3 also installed and successfully tested to connect to remote Oracle 10gR2 database.
Jboss-seam 2.0.2 SP1 installed. I just tried to reproduce:-

what worked fine for NB 5.5.1, Jboss 4.0.5, Jboss-seam 1.2.1.

JDK 5.0 is required for all Seam releases. Seam has not been tested on JDK 6.0 (check this page for updates).
